Roof of Los Angeles Building Collapses During Blaze

The cause of the fire in the vacant building in downtown Los Angeles remains under investigation.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of a massive building fire in downtown Los Angeles early Monday.

Firefighters initiated a defensive operation at the vacant building and protected nearby structures, KTLA reported.

Crews took positions on the roofs of nearby buildings during the operation that snarled rush hour traffic. There were no injuries reported.
